Kia ora Room 6, Thanks for sharing your photos and the video clip of your volcano experiment. I have tried this experiment many times and it's always lots of fun creating lava! I imagine you have looked at some real video clips of volcanoes exploding. So, can you answer your question? What happens when volcanoes explode? And, what makes a volcano explode? Do you know when the last time a volcano exploded in New Zealand was? I thought you may like to check out Ohaeawai Schools blogpost from last year. They created animations of volcanoes exploding.
