What we have been learning
What I have been learning:
Dear Journal,
I learned about making Chinese patterns. Some people wrote gold, moon, destiny and love. We also learnt about the interesting Picasso, the great artist. His art is amazing and different from other peoples art work. What I learned in maths was time. I learnt times like five thirty, six fifteen and five twenty five. I learned about this penguin called Hoiho it means yellow eyed penguin. Did you know that? In my writing we learned how to describe animals like a cheetah.

Dear Journal,
I have been learning about making tidy numbers and tens in maths. In reading I have been learning about skimming and scanning to find evidence in the book. In writing I have been learning about using paragraphs and using speech marks. In art I have been learning about Pabolo Picasso. In topic I learned about well being. In sound of the week I learnt the sound and words for ou and ow. In our class treaty we learned about respect. In PE we learned about underarm rock and swing and fling.

Dear Journal,
We made a class waka to represent our class whanau. We are all rowing the same way. That means we are looking out for each other, trying new things and going forward. We show our school values respect, excellence, success, persist, explore, communicate and think. They are on our waka.
We also made Chinese lanterns to represent the Chinese New Year.We have made a class treaty and we have all signed it. That means we have to show respect, keep our hands and feet to ourself, be kind to eachother, try our best and ask for help when we need it.
